Constance Connie Elvira ROGERS

McMinnville resident and Dickson County, TN native Constance "Connie" Elvira Rogers, age 84, was born February 13, 1922 and died June 7, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness.  She was the retired owner of Connie's Beauty Shop and a member of the Shellsford Baptist Church.  She was the daughter of the late Sam Pat and Dolly Ashworth Leech.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Brown;  grandson, Eli Brown;  brothers, Wallace, Robert, and Norwood Leech, and sisters, Juanita Knight and Daisy Cope.  She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Bernie Brown, Clayton and Malinda Brown, Pat and Jackie Brown and Mac and Rhonda Brown all of McMinnville;  eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;  two brothers, Lynwood Leech of Dickson, TN and George Leech of Columbia, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006 in High's Chapel with Ray Skyles officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
