Roy Celestial SCOTT

McMinnville resident and Booneville, MS native Roy Celestial Scott, age 73, was born July 2, 1933 and died December 8, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness.  An electrician at Powermatic, a United States Air Force veteran and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Emma Wimms Scott.  He was married September 6, 1955 to Zelma Louise Rhea Scott of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two half-brothers, Jimmy Penny of Rock Island, TN and Johnny Scott of Corinth, MS;  sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edith and Leonard Harris, Carolyn and Charlie Delong, Wilma and Charles Bratcher, Ruth Owens, and Margie and Garland Lorance all of McMinnville and Dean and Bob Muise of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2006 in High's Chapel with Bobby W. Wines and Carl Smith officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
