Edna G. SLAUGHTER

Riverside, Ohio resident and Grundy County, TN native Edna G. Slaughter, age 88, was born September 18, 1917 and died February 24, 2006 at her residence.  A homemaker and the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Mae Tucker Brown, she was married to Hugh W. Slaughter who preceded her in death in 1992.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Gwen Thies.  She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Wyllene and Joe Thies of Dayton, Ohio;  one son and daughter-in-law, Hugh and Sharon Slaughter of Riverside, Ohio;  twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and sister, Carlene Price of Beersheba Springs, TN.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Grace Chapel Methodist Church in Beersheba Springs, TN with Don Hill officiating.  Burial followed in the Grace Chapel Cemetery.
