Archie Cleveland SMARTT

Northcutt Cove Community resident and Warren County native Archie Cleveland Smartt, age 59, was born January 15, 1947 and died May 1, 2006 at his residence following a short illness.  A nursery worker and a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church, he was the son of the late George Sidney and Cora Geneva Slaughter Smartt.  He was married to Joyce Elaine Nelson Smartt of the Northcutt Cove Community.  In addition to his wife he is survived by four step-children, James Oliver King of McMinnville, Becky Elaine Comfort of Viola, TN, Nancy Rose King of Beersheba Springs, TN, and Jessie Houston King of the Northcutt Cove Community;  four step-grandchildren;  two sisters and brothers-in-law, Treva and Ray Perry of Beersheba Springs, TN and Gail and Mike Smith of Morrison, TN;  two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Cathy Smartt and George and Linda Smartt all of McMinnville;  several nieces and nephews and best friend, Jerry Nelson of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
