Carl Edward SNODGRASS

McMinnville resident and Hamilton County, TN native Carl Edward Snodgrass, age 82, was born November 12, 1923 and died May 20, 2006 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN following a four and a half week illness.  A retired employee of Carrier and charter member of the Victory Freewill Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Roy and Edith Yates Snodgrass.  He was a United States Navy veteran serving during WWII.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Edward Snodgrass;  brother, Robert Snodgrass and son-in-law, Dale Wayne Owens.  He was married August 12, 1950 to Elsie Jo Collins Snodgrass of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Bud Seals of McMinnville, Ruth and Darrell Dunker of Manchester, TN, and Joyce and Ken Mullican of McMinnville;  son, Jeff Snodgrass of McMinnville and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Kirby and Michael Harris officiating.  Burial followed in the Anderson Cemetery in White County, TN with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
