SR., Lawrence Patrick STALCUP

McMinnville resident and Indianapolis, Indiana native Lawrence Patrick Stalcup, Sr., age 78, was born March 13, 1928 and died July 1, 2006 at River Park Hospital.  A retired employee of the Carrier Corporation and a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was the son of the late William Freed and Ernestine Keller Stalcup.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Judy and Laura Stalcup;  brothers, John Stratton and Joe Stalcup and sister, Rita Byrd.  He was married June 18, 1955 to Micaela Lorraine Campbell Stalcup of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Susanne and Perry Martin of McMinnville;  son, Larry Stalcup of McMinnville;  grandchildren, Harley, Tanaya, Logan and Laci Stalcup;  great-grandchildren, Vannessa McBride and Naudia Ward and brother, Edward Stalcup of Miami, FL.  Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 in High's Chapel with Father Jim Bretl officiating.  Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
