Ruby Mae King TATE

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Ruby Mae King Tate, age 83, was born March 3, 1923 and died October 13, 2006 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a five-month illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Hill and Callie Hale King.  She was married to Hershel Tate who preceded her in death.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Eugene Tate.  She is survived by four children, Hershel Tate and Sophia Hicks both of Kansas and Bob and Dennis (Melissa) Tate both of McMinnville;  thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren;  four sisters, Josephine Eubanks of Beersheba Springs, TN, Louise Beard of Shelbyville, TN and Katherine Cole and Violet Bennett both of Cleveland, OH;  three brothers, Calbert, Arlin, and Charlie King all of Beersheba Springs, TN and several nieces and nephews.  A graveside service and interment was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2006 at King Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
