McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Clercy "Sue" Thatch, age 75, was born January 23, 1931 and died April 23, 2006 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. The owner and operator of Bob and Sue's Market and a member of the Way Of The Cross Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Deamie Fults Myers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Lillard and Ricky Thatch; sister, Tresse Bell McCormick and five brothers, Hervie, Jack, Everett, Zedie, and Tony Myers. She was married December 23, 1950 to Robert R. Thatch of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Patsy and Douglas Brown of McMinnville, Jack and Joann Thatch of Rock Island, TN, Michael and Judy Thatch of McMinnville, and Bobby Thatch of Muncie, Indiana; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, three brothers, Franklin and Bill Myers both of Viola, TN and Kenneth Myers of McMinnville; five sisters, Hessie Myers of Viola, Hester Young of Rock Island, Marie Carlson of Beersheba Springs, TN, Reeder McCormick of Viola, and Etter Elkins of Summitville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006 in High's Chapel with Ray Skyles officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery.
