Everett Lee TURNER

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Everett Lee Turner, age 90, was born September 2, 1915 and died July 25, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a lingering illness.  A retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company, a member of the Baptist Church, and a United States Army veteran of World War II,  he was the son of the late Rice and Maggie Owens Turner.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky and Michael Turner and daughter, Kathy Turner.  He was married to Wavie Cutts Turner of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kerry Lee Turner of McMinnville;  two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Lloyd Goodman of Smithville, TN and Wanda and Jerry Silver of Ohio;  seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2006 in High's Chapel with Donald Owens officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
