Gracie Mae TURNER

McMinnville resident and Dekalb County, TN native Gracie Mae Turner, age 67, was born May 15, 1938 and died January 31, 2006 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Annie Stacey Underhill Merriman.  She was first married to the late Houston Murphy and married second to the late Kenneth Turner.  In addition to her husbands and parents she was also preceded in death by two sons, Teddy and Phillip Murphy.  She is survived by six children, Lisa Judkins of McMinnville, Michael Murphy of Nashville, TN, Terry Murphy, Garry Murphy, Danny and wife Sheila Murphy, and Jerry Murphy all of McMinnville;  seven grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Jessica, Christopher, Brittany, Christy, and Randy Murphy;  great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Brooke;  two brothers, Joe Merriman and William Merriman both of Smithville, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2006 in High's Chapel with Danny Sullivan officiating.  Burial followed in the Jefferson Cemetery in Dekalb Co.
