Roy Mai WARREN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Roy Mai Warren, age 86, was born May 27, 1920 and died July 23, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Roy and Veta Mai Vanhooser Hardcastle.  She was married first to Franklin Howard, Jr. who preceded her in death in December of 1972 and married second to Clarence D. Warren who preceded her in death March 15, 2005.  She is survived by two brothers and sister-in-law, Floyd U. and Patsy Hardcastle of McMinnville and Brown Hardcastle of McMinnville;  three sisters and brother-in-law, Melba Davis of Nashville, TN, Dorothy Cook of McMinnville and Elsie and Muriel Harris of Manchester, TN;  step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Sally and John Duke of Franklin, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in High's Chapel with Julian Goodpasture officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
