Charles Edward Chuck WHITMIRE

McMinnville resident and East Prairie, Missouri native Charles Edward "Chuck" Whitmire, age 79, was born January 28, 1927 and died June 22, 2006 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a lingering illness.  A retired clerk with Kingwood Foodland and a veteran of the United States Navy, he was the son of the late John Talmen and Bertie Lee Sailor Whitmire.  He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Rynes of Washington;  son, Eddie Whitmire of Washington;  two grandchildren and special friends, Bettye Powers and Bobbie Patton.  A graveside service and interment was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Mt. View Cemetery with Ronnie Powell officiating.
