Betty Adella Davis WITTY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Betty Adella Davis Witty, age 87, was born August 13, 1918 and died February 1, 2006 at her residence following a brief illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Millie C. and Mary Roseanna Muncey Bell.  She was first married to the late Clifford Harris Davis, Sr. and married second to the late Ollie J. Witty.  In addition to her husbands she was also preceded in death by sisters, Willie Davis, Lena Smartt, Ada Lois Starkey, Mae Jones, Luddie Smoot, Jannie Lee Bell, Louise Cunningham, Gladys Robinson and Mary Ellen Reed;  brothers, Dee, Hiram, Edward, Elbert, Fred, Foster and Hoyt Bell.  She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford Harris and Gail Davis, Jr., Jimmy Clark and Evon Davis, Charles Edward and Linda Davis and James Harris and Joyce Davis all of McMinnville;  seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006 in High's Chapel with Jerry Hennessee officiating.  Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery.
