Leonard Ray YOUNG

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Leonard Ray Young, age 66, was born February 24, 1940 and died June 24, 2006 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.  A self-employed nursery worker, he attended the Baptist Church and was the son of the late Chris and Cleo Luna Young.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Young.  He was married to Pam Myers Young of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one step-daughter, Virginia Myers of McMinnville;  three sisters, Christine Clemons and Minnie Medley both of McMinnville and Faye Cantrell of Smithville, TN;  two brothers, Linberg and Earl Young both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2006 in High's Chapel with Scottie Lawson and Danny Sullivan officiating.  Burial followed in the Young Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN.
