Jackie Leona BESS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jackie Leona Bess, age 82, was born June 9, 1925 and died September 5, 2007 at Life Care Center of Sparta in Sparta, TN following an extended illness. A retired LPN at McMinnville Healthcare and a member of the Pleasant Cove Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Edward Dison and Nancy Elizabeth Moss Campbell. She was married October 17, 1949 to Oliver Everett Bess who preceded her in death June 10, 2007. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Livy Bess and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Butch and Belva Bess of Sparta, TN; three grandchildren, Tabitha Patrick, Jamie Brock and Jacob Bess all of McMinnville; five great-grandchildren, Kelsey Jones, Samantha Brock, Lucas and Kendall Patrick and Dalton Bess and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Mt. View Cemetery with Doug Downs officiating.
