Vera Gilbert BOULDIN

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Vera Gilbert Bouldin, age 84, was born April 15, 1923 and died December 18, 2007 at River Park Hospital following a short illness. A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John and Maude Thomison Gilbert. She was married to Tommy P. Bouldin who preceded her in death October 15, 2000. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Oma Bouldin; sister, Beatrice Evans; granddaughter, Tina Mary Etta Bouldin and step-grandson, Victor J. Young. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Elsie and Morris Young of Rock Island, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Mary Etta Bouldin of McMinnville; five grandsons, Mason Bouldin of Smithville, TN; Jason Bouldin and Timmy Davis both of Rock Island, TN and Marty Bouldin and Tommy Bouldin both of McMinnville; eleven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Beulah Evans and Roberta Parmley both of McMinnville, Juanita Taylor of Nashville, TN, Sylvia Brock and Lucille Vanwinkle both of Spencer, TN, Wanda Warner of Crossville, TN and Rachel Oaks of Rock Island, TN; two brothers, Billy Gilbert of McMinnville and Lloyd Gilbert of Pikeville, TN and one step-great-granddaughter, Debbie Elkins of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2007 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington and Marion Ward officiating. Burial followed in the White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
