Joyce J. BOYD

McMinnville resident and Wilder, TN native Joyce J. Boyd, age 80, was born January 31, 1927 and died May 9, 2007 at her residence following a lengthy illness. A seamstress and a member of Friendship The Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jefferson and Dellie Selles Dodson. She was married first to Daniel Walker and second to Paul Boyd, both whom preceded her in death. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Bouldin and Belle Allen; grandson, Jason Brindley and daughter-in-law, Mary Walker. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sharon Walker and Garry and Diana Walker; three daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and J.R. McCormick, Kay Freeborn and John Butt and Barbara and Mike Jones; brother, George McKinley Dodson; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, step-children and step-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 in High's Chapel with Edward Todd officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
