Fairfax, VA resident and Warren County native Pearl Evelene Boyd, age 81, was born November 6, 1925 and died June 24, 2007 at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax. A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Myrtle Christian Panter. She was married to Escal Boyd who preceded her in death February 25, 2001. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Aud, Dub, Jack and O.C. Panter and sister, Jadie Clendenon. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Kay and Ted Hedin of Fairfax, VA and Janice Sue and David Church of Atlanta, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Todd and Frances Boyd of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren, Chris, Andrew, Kari, Matthew, Ryan, Joshuah and Jacob and two sisters, Wavie Stacy and Wilma Powers both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 in High's Chapel with Denver Farley officiating. Burial followed in the Hills Creek Cemetery.
