Richard Martin COURTNEY

Rock Island, TN resident and El Reno, OK native Richard Martin Courtney, age 79, was born August 22, 1927 and died June 13, 2007 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A machinist with Aero Structures, a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Friendship The Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Martin John and Alice Hoffman Courtney. He was married November 3, 1951 to Louise Jones Courtney of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Darroll and Sharon Courtney and Leslie and Judy Courtney both of Oklahoma; sister, Vivian Rose of Oregon; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2007 in High's Chapel with Steve Breedlove and Bryan Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery.
