Doyle P. DAVIDSON

McMinnville resident and Roan County, TN native Doyle P. Davidson, age 81, was born February 24, 1926 and died November 11, 2007 at his residence following a sudden illness. A superintendent with McDonald Plastics, a United States Navy veteran and a member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John and Rose Lee Anderson Davidson. He was married September 3, 1946 to Mary Frances Johnson Davidson who preceded him in death November 4, 2007. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, Leonard, Carlos, Robert Lee, Alison, Leslie, James J., Benton M. and Marshall L. Davidson and sister, Carol Hensley. He is survived by one daughter, Patsy Davidson of McMinnville, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra Davidson of Smyrna, TN; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, John Davidson of Gilbertsville, KY and sister, Dorothy Ann Watson of Sanford, NC. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Pharris Cemetery in Jackson County, TN.
