John Louis DAVIDSON

McMinnville resident and Montgomery County, TN native John Louis Davidson, age 89, was born September 17, 1918 and died November 25, 2007 at River Park Hospital following a short illness. A self-employed house painter, a United States Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Ervin Louis and Effie Rose Davidson. He was married December 27, 1938 to Flora Haley Davidson who preceded him in death. He is survived by one daughter, Helen Rogers of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Grace Davidson of Manchester, TN; two sisters, Rosia McDaniel and Ann Mitchell both of Indiana; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Finis and Sonya Davidson of Michigan and William and Kathlene Davidson of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in High's Chapel with Charles Williams and Tim Parish officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
