Jack DUNLAP

Townsend, TN resident and Warren County native Jack Boren Dunlap, age 77, was born October 20, 1930 and died December 9, 2007 at his residence following a lengthy illness. An executive officer with Jefferson Pilot Insurance Company and a United States Navy veteran of Korea, he was the son of the late James Sylvester and Eula Flora Boren Dunlap. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He was married June 4, 1955 to Mary Sue Madewell of Townsend, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Sue Dunlap of Pine Knoll Shores, NC and Mark and Cindy Dunlap of Hillsborough, NC; four grandchildren, Allyson, Kelly, Kaiti and Mason Dunlap; sister-in-law, Ora Lee Madewell; five nephews, Buck Grissom of Morrison, TN, Billy Dunlap of Oak Hill, FL, Jerry Dunlap of Sterling Heights, MI, James Lynn Dunlap of Muscle Shoals, AL and Bob Dunlap of Pleasant View, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in High's Chapel with Charles Martin officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
