SR., Frank Dome GARRETSON

Viola, TN resident and native Frank Dome Garretson, Sr., age 65, was born January 4, 1942 and died August 8, 2007 at River Park Hospital following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. The owner of Rocky River Stone Company and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Earl Ross and Julia Walker Garretson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Garretson; infant sister, Betty Ross Garretson and father-in-law, W.C. "Red" Gaffin. He was a member of the Hillsboro Masonic Lodge #382. He was married in February of 1966 to Carolyn Gaffin Garretson of Viola, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Frank Garretson, Jr. of Viola, TN; daughter, Jennie Garretson of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Jenna Marie Garretson of Viola, TN and Hayden Garretson-Jones of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Douglas Fairbanks of Nashville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Barbara Garretson of McMinnville and David and Amy Garretson of Asheboro, NC; mother-in-law, Mary Gaffin of Viola, TN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Becky and Pat Russell and Bob and Teresa Gaffin both of Alabama, Mary Gonder of New York and Jane Moore of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 in High's Chapel with Benny Benjamin officiating. Burial followed in the Viola Cemetery.
