Ruby Mitchell GLENN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ruby Mitchell Glenn, age 93, was born July 8, 1914 and died December 11, 2007 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired clerk at King's Department Store and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late James Houston and Ella Pearl Womack Mitchell. She was married June 7, 1931 to Virgil Lee Glenn who preceded her in death June 23, 1994. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ada Mayfield; grandson, Jeff Mayfield; great-granddaughter, Lela Johnson and brother, James Mitchell. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jimmie and Bill Rymer of McCaysville, GA and Debbie Glenn of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Pam Glenn of McMinnville; son-in-law, Bob Mayfield of McMinnville; two grandsons and their spouses, David and Janice Mayfield of McMinnville and Leland and Ann Rymer of Copper Hill, TN; three granddaughters and their spouses, Jalesia and Tim Hansen of McMinnville, Amy and Charles Layne of Franklin, TN and Becky Loper of Huntland, TN and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 in High's Chapel with Tony Lawrence officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery.
