James Edward GRAYSON

June 16, 1929 — December 26, 2007

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Edward Grayson, age 78, was born June 16, 1929 and died December 26, 2007 at the V.A. Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. A truck driver with BFI Waste Management, a United States Marines veteran of Korea and a member of the East End Drive Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James William and Virginia Marbury Grayson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles A. Grayson. He was married to Shirley J. Ramsey of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Tyshia Grayson of Detroit, MI, Steven Grayson of McMinnville, TN and Lamont Grayson of Murfreesboro, TN; three daughters, Tina Woods of McMinnville, TN and Gina Solomon and Angela Roberts both of Murfreesboro, TN; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two brothers and sister-in-law, Dan and Marcella Grayson and Ernest W. McReynolds both of Detroit, MI. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007 in High's Chapel with Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Leesburg Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
