Wm. Bill LEFEVERS

November 1, 1916 — February 10, 2007

Shady Grove Community resident and Cannon County, TN native Wm. "Bill" Lefevers, age 90, was born November 1, 1916 and died February 10, 2007 at St. Thomas Hospital following an extended illness. A retired farmer and a member of the Shady Grove Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Dora Todd Lefevers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Bobby Lefevers, Jr. and John David Lafevers, Jr., two brothers, and five sisters. He was married April 2, 1938 to Christine Stanley Lefevers of the Shady Grove Community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dora and Lawayne Cooper of the Midway Community and Carol and Stanley Poe of Morrison, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Toni Lefevers of the Shady Grove Community and David and Judy Lefevers of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Essie Hillis of McMinnville, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in High's Chapel with Vernon Joines and Richard Bowman officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
