Mollie Monroe LUSK

January 15, 1915 — December 23, 2007

Mt. Juliet, TN resident and Warren County native Mollie Monroe Lusk, age 92, was born January 15, 1915 and died December 23, 2007 at her residence following a lengthy illness. A retired school teacher and a member of the Hiawassee Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late General and Lena Martin Paige. She was a devoted wife, mother, and teacher who thoroughly enjoyed her students. Her last years teaching were with Head Start and Kindergarten. In her retired years, she enjoyed her volunteer work a River Park Hospital and other volunteer services. She was a graduate of A & I State Teachers College in 1942 and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was married October 23, 1943 to Marvin Taylor Lusk, Sr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Marvin Taylor Lusk, Jr. of McMinnville; three daughters and son-in-law, Yvonne Carney of Nashville, TN, Joyce and Walter Penn of Cincinnati, OH and Beverly Martin of Mt. Juliet, TN; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 in High's Chapel with Bro. George King, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery @ Martin Charge.
