Richard Kent Dick MADISON

McMinnville resident and Shenandoah, Iowa native Richard Kent "Dick" Madison, age 75, was born April 9, 1931 and died January 2, 2007 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired United States Air Force Major who served during Vietnam, retired owner of Cumberland Magnavox and a member of the Christ Community Church, he was the son of the late Gus A. and Theresa Young Madison. He was married February 7, 1959 to Joyce Cantrell Madison of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard Kent and Laura Madison of Nashville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Bob Eckenrod of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Joanna and Leah Madison of Nashville, TN and Elsa and Clay Eckenrod of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Jim Knox of North Carolina and Nancy and Vito Scurto of California and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 in High's Chapel with Paul Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery.
