James Frank MATHENEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Frank Matheney, age 72, was born May 28, 1935 and died June 21, 2007 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN following a sudden illness. A retired restaurant owner and a member of the non-denominational church, he was the son of the late Alto Frank and Zora Ann Rice Matheney. He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Elaine Taylor and Kathy Ann and Tony Johnson both of Laporte, IN, Laura Lea and Mike Tanksley of Bradenton, FL and Vickie Lynne and Tom Hitchcock of Des Moines, IA; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Danny and Shirley Matheny and Frankie Matheny both of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Faye Craven and Violet and James McCormick both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and best friend, Jessie Turner of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 in High's Chapel with Danny Sullivan officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
