Irene MCBRIDE

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Irene McBride, age 88, was born June 9, 1919 and died October 29, 2007 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George and Millie Hobbs Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Lee McBride; daughter, Daisy McBride; granddaughter, Kathy Butcher and brothers, Vernon and Beecher Myers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Bill Butcher and Shirley and Danny Matheny both of McMinnville; five sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton McBride of Covert, MI, Glenn "Buddy" and Brenda McBride of Centre, AL, Raymond and Marcie McBride of Morrison, TN and Gary and Kay Willis and Rickey and Mary Willis both of McMinnville; twenty-four grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren; sister, Georgia Baldwin of Summitville, TN and brother, Arthur Lee Myers of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 in High's Chapel with Gary Newby and Billy Holland officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
