Kenneth Heimo MIKKOLA

Rock Island, TN resident and Calumet, MI native Kenneth Heimo Mikkola, age 73, was born August 3, 1934 and died suddenly September 19, 2007 at River Park Hospital. A retired mechanic at General Motors, he was the son of the late Emil John and Edna Marie Ravela Mikkola. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Loraine Hutchings. He was married December 10, 1955 to Yvonne Chandanais Mikkola of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children and their spouses, Kim Marie and Mark Hart of Maryville, TN, Karen Lynn and William Mason of Rock Island, TN, Kenneth Michael and Randi Mikkola of Spring Hill, FL, Kathleen Kay and Jerry Moulton of Morrison, TN and Korey Lee and Sharon Mikkola of McMinnville; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; step-mother, Vinona Virginia Mikkola of Rock Island, TN; brother, Keith Mikkola of Livonia, MI and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Mt. View Cemetery with Jason Nunley officiating.
