Shirley May English NEWBY

McMinnville resident and Detroit, MI native Shirley May English Newby, age 68, was born May 5, 1939 and died July 1, 2007 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Lalah Egner English. She was married September 27, 1957 to Jack E. Newby of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Rhonda and Pat Moran and Shawn and Billy Palombo both of McMinnville, Terry Hicks of Tullahoma, TN and Tammy Adams of Lynchburg, TN; five grandchildren, Molli and Evan Moran and Stevana, August, and Shani Palombo all of McMinnville; three sisters, Ernestine Bushell of Kentucky, Robbie Carmichael of Michigan and Barbara Calvert of Arizona and brother, Jim English of Florida. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Central Church of Christ with Tim Parrish officiating.
