Hilda Hampton NEWMAN

McMinnville resident and Murray County, OK native Hilda Hampton Newman, age 101, was born April 26, 1906 and died September 15, 2007 at her residence. A retired school teacher of forty-five years with the Warren County School System and a member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Lee and Sallie Smartt Newman. She is survived by one niece, Linda Newman Greene of McMinnville; great-nephew, Nathaniel Newman of McMinnville; several cousins; her Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church family and Riverview Terrace family. Funeral service was held Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Harry Green and Lanny Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
