Lena Ruth OWEN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Lena Ruth Owen, age 70, was born August 3, 1937 and died November 4, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Non-Denominational Church, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Frankie Smartt Rhea. She was married to Burleigh Dee Owen who preceded her in death in 1997. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Patricia Ann Owen and Johnny Lee Owen; brother, Earl Rhea and sisters, Bessie Sinks and Jean Butcher. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Jimmy and Bobbie Owen, James and Marcie Owen and Tim and Jenny Owen all of McMinnville, Jeff and Joyce Owen of Morrison, TN and Julie and Rodney Patton of Murfreesboro, TN; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Zelma Scott, Wilma and Charles Bratcher, Edith and Leonard Harris, Carolyn and Charlie Delong and Margie and Garland Lorance all of McMinnville and Dena and Bob Muse of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Shiloh Cemetery.
