Alice Martha PARTON

McMinnville resident and Searcy, AR native Alice Martha Parton, age 85, was born September 18, 1922 and died November 26, 2007 at Woodbury Nursing Center in Woodbury, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and of the Christian Faith, she was the daughter of the late George and Eula Agnes Yancey West. She was married in 1941 to Carl Bryant Parton who preceded in death in 1955. She is survived by one son, Douglas Parton of McMinnville; daughter, Martha Jane Parton Shouse and her husband "Buck" of Michigan; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Carlos West of California and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007 in High's Chapel with Leonard Herman officiaiting. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
