Sarah Elizabeth PENNINGTON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Sarah Elizabeth Pennington, age 85, was born January 8, 1922 and died September 3, 2007 at NHC Helathcare McMinnville following a brief illness. A retired inspector at Dr. Pepper Bottling and a member of the Bybee Branch Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late William and Omega Overall Farless. She was married to Ernest Orville Pennington who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Herbert Ramsey; brother, Phillip Farless; one great-grandchild and special friend, George Davis. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Nell Pennington of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Debra Lancaster, Jeff Lancaster, Tammie and Kelly Ross, Sharon and Dwayne Holt and Brandon Pennington all of McMinnville and Tina and Allan Johnston of Woodbury, TN; eight great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; half-brother, H.B. Ramsey of Michigan; one sister-in-law; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 in High's Chapel with Jim Ramsey officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
