Tommie Lee PEPPER

October 30, 1920 — May 6, 2007

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Tommie Lee Pepper, age 86, was born October 30, 1920 and died May 6, 2007 at his residence following a five-month illness. A retired employee of Ford Motor Co., a decorated United States Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he was the son of the late Charles "Charlie" William and Phebie Elizabeth Earls Pepper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Austin Pepper and sister, Willie Jo Johnson. He was married June 30, 1979 to Eline Virginia Clark Pepper of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Robin Pepper, Jr. of Eustis, FL; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann Scott of Franklin, NC, Sharon and Marty Boles of McMinnville and Debbie and James McBride of McMinnville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Pepper and special nephew and his wife, Ricky and Sherry Pepper of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in High's Chapel with Harry Green officiating. Burial followed in the Banks Cemetery in Dekalb County, TN with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
