Louise Ramsay Poag, 85, of Nashville/McMinnville, TN died January 6, 2007 at Vanderbilt Hospital. Mrs. Poag was the daughter of the late Jennie Belle Ligon and James Fulton Ramsay of Lebanon, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Charles Hugh Poag. Her survivors are two daughters, Jennie Poag (Roger) Brown of Hernando, Mississippi and Pricilla Poag (Wilson) Wanamaker of McMinnville and her brother Jack (Charlene) Ramsay of Athens, GA. She is also survived by three step-grandsons, Kirk (Tyla) Wanamaker of McMinnville, Barron (Keri) and Nicholas Brown of Memphis, TN and three step-great-grandchildren, Peyton and Alexis Wanamaker of McMinnville and Maddux Brown of Memphis, TN. Mrs. Poag graduated from Belmont College and received a Masters Degree in Psychology form Tennessee State University. She also did graduate study at Peabody College and Vanderbilt University. Mrs. Poag retired from Nashville Metro Schools in June 1984 where she had been a School Psychologist. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Belle Meade United Methodist Church in Nashville, TN where she was a member.
