Letha Leska Jackson POORE

McMinnville resident and Dekalb County, TN native Letha Leska Jackson Poore, age 90, was born July 10, 1916 and died June 17, 2007 at Alive Hospice @ St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Martha Flurna Henderson Jackson. She was married to Andy Poore who preceded her in death February 5, 1980. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elbert and Otis Jackson and four sisters, Nota West, Ressie Jackson, Allie Jackson and Arlena Luna. She is survived by one son, John Poore of McMinnville; grandson, Carl Andrew Poore of Crossville, TN; brother, Hobert Jackson of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Frazier's Chapel Cemetery in White County, TN.
