McMinnville resident and Warren County native Myrtle Jean Barnes Prince, age 82, was born March 14, 1925 and died April 17, 2007 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A saleslady at Castner-Knott Department Store and a member of the St. Mary's Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Rice Sewell and Willie Marie Martin Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Barnes. She was married December 8, 1988 to Paul D. Prince of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Marie and Dean Tucker of Madison, TN, Hope and Dale Jones of Murfreesboro, TN and Holly and Brent Lands of Lascassas, TN; six grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Ruda Smith of Brentwood, TN, Brooklyn, Tanner and Zack Jones of Murfreesboro, TN, Chelsea O'Keley and Dakota Lands of Murfreesboro, TN; brother and sister-in-law, William Sewell and Catherine Barnes of McMinnville; sister, Evelyn Sullivan of Antioch, TN; niece, Bobbye Jean Coleman of Antioch, TN and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 in High's Chapel with Denver Farley officiating. Burial followed in the Armstrong Cemetery.
