Willie Royce REDMON

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Willie Royce Redmon, age 65, was born October 19, 1941 and died March 3, 2007 at River Park Hospital following a lingering illness. A retired employee of DeZurik Corporation and a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Charlie Rostin and Ova Lorene Slatton Redmon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bettye Prater and two brothers, John and Calvin Redmon. He was married December 14, 1960 to Ruth Cantrell of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Russell Barkes of McMinnville; two grandsons, Wesley Colt Royce Southard and Christopher James Derick Southard both of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Eston Knowles of Smithville, TN and Charlene and Melvin Pickett of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Sherry Redmon of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2007 in High's Chapel with Bobby Vickers officiating. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 8:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
