McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ivory Rhea, age 95, was born December 26, 1911 and died March 14, 2007 at Manchester Health Care in Manchester, TN following an extended illness. A retired farmer and employee of Burroughs-Ross-Colville Company and member of the Hebron Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth Fults Rhea. He was married first to Mary Ellen Smartt Rhea who preceded him in death and married second to Willie Hobs Dodson Rhea who also preceded him in death. In addition to his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by one step-granddaughter. He is survived by two daughters, Louise Shavers of Manchester, TN and Ruth Rhea of St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; five step-children, Yvonne Drake, Gary Dodson, Thomas Dodson and Norma Bates all of McMinnville and Fred Dodson of Nashville, TN; fourteen step-grandchildren, twenty-two step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and step-sister, Beatrice Green of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2007 in High's Chapel with Wayne Cantrell, Tommy Shavers and Dusty Drake officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at High's.
