Smith Linell SNIDER

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Smith Linell Snider, age 77, was born June 2, 1929 and died May 13, 2007 at his residence following a one-year illness. A retired employee of Carrier, a United States Army veteran and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, he was the son of the late John William and Grace Ann Hillis Snider. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Sabrina Merritt and Jamie Jenell Luna; grandson, James Steven Snider and two brothers, Jewell Castell Snider and Doris Winston Snider. He was married October 14, 1950 to Willie McBride Snider of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children and one son-in-law, Verla Hagan of Michigan, Merla and Stan McAmis of McMinnville, Luther Luna of Smithville, TN, and Burgess Luna and Milton Snider both of McMinnville; nineteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bobby Craig of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Lorena Snider of Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Ann Snider and Beatrice Snider both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in High's Chapel with Rodger Faulk officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
