Jesse David J.D. SPENCER

Soddy Daisy, TN resident and Collin County, TX native Jesse David "J.D." Spencer, age 82, was born May 12, 1925 and died December 18, 2007 at his residence. A self-employed farmer and mechanic, he was the son of the late Jesse Gleenwood and Lydia Ethney Pittmon Spencer. He was married August 23, 1943 to Jeriah Jones Spencer of Soddy Daisy, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Oleta Spencer of Soddy Daisy, TN, Jesse David and Jan Spencer, Jr. of New Caney, TX and James Raymond and Cathy Spencer of Friona, TX; two daughters and son-in-law, Louise and Jim Nunley of McMinnville and Joy Diane Burkes of Shulanburg, TX; thirteen grandchildren, Judith Carter, Cheryl Myers, Jason Burkes, Johnny, Jeff, David, Tammye Kaye, Justin and Logan J. Spencer, Jeanette Phillips, Jim Nunley, Dodie Niemeyer and Mandy King; twenty-four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Kindle and Wilford A. Kindle both of Texas and three sisters, Jackie Mae Hall of Texas, Ermidine Collins of Missouri and Linda Gale of Louisiana. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Hebron Church of Christ with Wayne Cantrell and Bill Greer officiating. Burial followed in the Hebron Cemetery.
