Pauline Bond STROUD

May 3, 1925 — April 15, 2007

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Pauline Bond Stroud, age 81, was born May 3, 1925 and died April 15, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Providence Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Matt Edgar and Winnie Adline Jones Ward. She was married first to Robert A. Bond who preceded her in death November 27, 1986 and married second to Joe R. Stroud who preceded her in death January 29, 1997. She was a member of the Lucky FCE Club for over forty years, a volunteer with the Warren County A & L Fair in the adult food department for twenty-one years and was honored with the Volunteer Award. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ellen Marie Bond; step-grandson, Chase Bryant; three brothers, Virgle, Margle and Clinton Ward and two sisters, Mary Lydia Foster and Edith Taylor. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. "Bobby" and Joyce Bond, Jr. of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Paulette and Buford Woodlee of the Irving College Community; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Louise Ward of Murfreesboro, TN and W.L. and Beatrice Ward of Westmoreland, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mattie Helen and Billy "Bobby" Basham of McMinnville and Norma Jean Davenport of Woodbury, TN; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Joe and Sharon Stroud, Jr. of Gallatin, TN; two step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Susan and Mike Bryant of Mt. Juliet, TN and SaraJane and Joe Hefner of Morrison, TN; foster children, Maxine Button of Seattle, WA and Lawton Pelham of McMinnville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; very special friends, Frances Crum and the Care All family and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in High's Chapel with John Padgett and Jimmy Womack officiating. Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
