Elva Mae STUBBLEFIELD

McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native Elva Mae Stubblefield, age 88, was born June 22, 1919 and died December 6, 2007 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Willie Sadler and Janie Elizabeth Jenkins Griggs. She was married to George Leon Stubblefield who preceded her in death April 12, 1972. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Sherry and Gary Brown of Murfreesboro, TN, Norma and Ron Campbell of Aiken, SC and Vickie and Glenn Mitchell and Michael and Janice Stubblefield both of McMinnville; grandchildren and their spouses, Norman and Beth Brown of Murfreesboro, TN, Deborah Brown and Harry Hosey of Birmingham, AL, Amy Campbell and Michael Delaney of Orangeburg, SC, Aaron Campbell of Charleston, SC, and Jane Ann and Timothy Bryant, Phil Hitchcock, Makayla Stubblefield and Caden Stubblefield all of McMinnville; six great-grandchildren and one brother, Roy Griggs of Nashville, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2007 in High's Chapel with Brian Wynne officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the .
