McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Larry "Jimmy" Templeton, age 54, was born September 9, 1952 and died April 8, 2007 at his residence following a short illness. An employee of Yorozu Automotive of Tennessee, a United States Army veteran and a member of the Locust Street Church of God, he was the son of Jacqueline Cope of McMinnville and the late James Wilson Templeton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Templeton and step-father, Henry Cope. He was married December 13, 1977 to Katherine Sue Hale Templeton of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three children, Angela Templeton, Shawnacey Templeton and Joshua Templeton all of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Wesley Tibbetts, Macy Templeton and Braxton Templeton all of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Judy Templeton of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and William Black and Darlene and Bob Young both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in High's Chapel with Roland Sharp and Lee Denton Wright officiating. Burial followed in the Laurel Creek Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
