Rocky River Community resident and Van Buren County, TN native Glen Doran "Speedy" Thomison, age 72, was born November 20, 1934 and died April 3, 2007 at DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of the Carrier Corporation, a United States Army Veteran and a member of the White Hill Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Floyd and Maggie Hillis Thomison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Thomison; brothers-in-law, Lavoy Grove and A.C. Roberts and father-in-law, Willard Bouldin. He was married July 6, 1956 to Jewell Bouldin Thomison of the Rocky River Community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Georgia Roberts of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Maudie Thomison of the Rocky River Community; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bernice Grove of McMinnville, Evie and Dawson Campbell of Morrison, TN and Avie and Leonard Clemons of McMinnville; mother-in-law, Martha Ann Bouldin of the Rocky River Community and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 in High's Chapel with John Leonetti officiating. Burial followed in the White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
