Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Jack Vickers, Sr., age 72, was born July 25, 1935 and died December 10, 2007 at Stones River Hospital in Woodbury, TN following an extended illness. A security guard at Carrier and a member of the Pleasant Knoll Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Elmer and Linnie Fults Vickers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, James and Frank Vickers. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jacky and Heather Vickers of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Avery, Kaitlyn and Bailey Vickers; two step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, Daniel and Angie Holland and David Holland of Morrison, TN; step-granddaughter, Danielle Lowe; step-great-granddaughter, Halle Lowe; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Myrna Vickers of Morrison, TN; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Earlene Holt of Hendersonville, TN, Josephine and Don Herrin and Dessie Dean Barks both of McMinnville and Pauline Barnes of Cookeville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in High's Chapel with Jerry Finney officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
