Flossie Marie WATTS

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Flossie Marie Watts, age 73, was born December 17, 1934 and died December 22, 2007 at River Park Hospital following a two-month illness. A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Alva Hobbs Myers. She was married to James Floyd Watts, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1971. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Floyd Watts, Jr.; two granddaughters, Tamara Leigh White and Jessica Nichole Watts and sister, Minnie Watts. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Hubert Fults and Tama and Larry Popplewell both of McMinnville and Arlean and Bruce Stamps of Bell Buckle, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Waymon and Brenda Watts of McMinnville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Darland of Rock Island, TN, Patricia Thomas and Ruby Baker; six brothers, Delbert Myers of McMinnville, Elmer Myers, and Robert, Roy, Carl and James Myers all of Coffee County, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to assist with funeral expenses.
